Deaths on Aruba in the last 50 years
A total of 840 deaths were registered in 2024, 3.2 percent more than in 2023. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, between 2015 and 2019, an average of 719 deaths were registered per year. Compared to the pre-COVID period, 840 deaths represent thus an increase of 16.8 percent.
In the first quarter of 2025, 231 deaths were registered, 113 males and 118 females.

Persons aged 60 years and older account for more than three quarters of all deaths per year. In 2024, they accounted for 92.2% of all deaths. Overall, the age specific death rate is highest for men in all age-groups.
