Deaths on Aruba in the last 50 years
A total of 814 deaths were registered in 2023, 7.4 percent less than in 2022. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, between 2015 and 2019, an average of 719 deaths were registered per year. Compared to the pre-COVID period, 814 deaths represent thus an increase of 13.2 percent.
Up to the third quarter of 2024, 621 deaths were registered, 300 males and 321 females.

Persons aged 60 years and older account for more than three quarters of all deaths per year. In 2023, they accounted for 86.0% of all deaths. Overall, the age specific death rate is highest for men in all age-groups.
