Emigration from (leaving) Aruba
In 2025 the number of emigrants totaled 2,092 persons, the lowest recorded in the last decade, reaching an emigration rate at a historical low at 19.1 per 1,000 population. The largest group emigrating continues to be those born in Aruba/the (former) Netherlands Antilles, even as this group is showing a decline from being 62.6 percent of all people emigrating in 2011 to 53.2 percent in 2025. People born in the Netherlands remain the second largest group representing 19.3 percent of all emigrants in 2025.
Ages 15-24 remain the largest cohort de-registering. In 2025, they accounted for nearly one-third (32.6%) of all departures.
