In Landscape series no. 6: “Inconveniences in the home neighborhood in Aruba we analyzed the distribution of household inconveniences to reveal aspects where the economy, society and environment fringe. Also we go into detail on the environmental hazards that lie hidden in our daily household consumption patterns. For instance, the daily disposal of solvents and liquid waste in the direct surroundings of our living environment comes with an accumulation of nutrients and contaminants and a long-term effect on the quality of soil and groundwater as well as surrounding marine waters and ecosystems.
